HTC Flyer vs Samsung Galaxy Note

HTC flyer shouldn't be compared with Samsung Galaxy Note as these both have been launched at diff period of time, other reasons for these not to be compared is -

  1. flyer is tablet; Galaxy Note is hybrid
  2. price wise flyer (23500 INR) is cheaper than Galaxy note (32250 INR) (as per flipkart rates)

Lets see where Galaxy note is winner -

  • Processing power - Galaxy note runs on dual core processor while flyer is single core
  • build - Galaxy note is much lighter than Flyer
  • display - Galaxy note is 5.3'' super AMOLED with resolution of 800*1200 pixels (285 ppi pixel density) in comparison to 7'' LCD touchscreen with resolution of 600*1024 pixels (170 ppi pixel  density )
  • Cameras - Galaxy note has better primary (8 MP) and secondary cameras (2MP) in comparison to Flyer (5 MP, 1.3 MP respectively)

Finally, you will see Galaxy Note is winner at most of the aspects but my point is that these devices shouldn't be compared due to above mentioned reasons at the start of this article.

HTC flyer is winner as well in the price range which is much lesser than Galaxy note's price. HTC offers so many features in this price range which no one else offers. HTC offered handwriting support much before than Galaxy note.

  1. This comparison evens out a bit when the Flyer is running Honeycomb. I expect that I'll have a Samsung Note in addition to my Flyer within a few months! Why settle on just one?
