To decide between HDD (hard disk drive) & SSD (Solid state drive) is always confusing. HDD is cheap but slow, on other hand SSD are fast but costly.
Here I am trying to solve this issue. I am considering 3 important factors - cost, speed, & storage capacity to decide b/w these 2 options -
1. Cost is irrelevant , I need small storage capacity & speed matters - So in this case I will go for SSD definitely.
2. Cost is irrelevant , I need good speed & large storage capacity - In this case I will buy Ultra book with low SSD & large external HDD for storage.
3. Cost matters, need large storage but speed doesn't matter - In this case I will buy large HDD with good cache.
4. Cost matters, need large storage & good speed too - In this case we can go for Hybrid drives (like from seagate) where small portion is high speed SSD and large remaining portion is HDD.
