If you want to backup contact on your android phone, then there are n number of ways; but one of those is taking backup online so that in case if you have lost those contacts, you can get them back from online cloud/storage.
To do this, you can use the same software (Mobile Manager) as mentioned in my following post-

In this app, there is option of "Backup"; using this you can backup your contacts online. But you must have account on nq space. You can create it by clicking on option "nq account". Once you have created it then you can backup your contacts by clicking "backup contacts" and later on restore these contacts by clicking "restore contacts".
